I’ve been searching for something. I think you have been too. Perhaps we’ll find it together...
Mikono Tisa is a living philosophy of orientation — and a studio where that philosophy takes tangible form.
What is Mikono Tisa?
Mikono Tisa is Swahili for “Nine Hands.” Eight hands mark the cardinal and intercardinal directions; a ninth, at the center, holds them in balance — a compass for navigating intention and orienting toward what is true. Every piece in this studio is made from inside that practice: an exploration of action, origin, and destination, and of the relationship between the artist, the medium, and reality itself.
